A Spanish private Foundation is looking for companies to join an EIC Pathfinder Open proposal with the aim to develop a new class of antibiotics that will be encapsulated into liposomes or hydrogels for coating wound dressings to be applied on skin and SSTIs caused by multidrug-resistant bacteria. They are looking for European companies that could develop wound dressings coated with their asset that could be used to treat skin infections. They will provide the active ingredient coated into liposomes or xerogels with good activity in vitro and validated through an ex vivo skin model (through another partner in the consortium). A wide variety of dressings would be tested to maximise the performance and efficacy of the coated liposomes, so the company should have the needed expertise to generate innovative ideas in this field.
