A Spanish SME is looking for an Italian SME specialized in decision support systems (DSS) for agricultural application, preferably with agroforesty (olive, citrus, apple trees, etc) expertise, for a R&D collaboration within the Eureka – Eurostars call (with closing date in April 2023). The project goal is to develop a new service integrating the endotherapy (an innovative phytosanitary application technology that introduces the product directly into the trunk of the trees) with a DSS for integrated plague management.

The expected role of the partner in the R&D collaboration project would be to integrate the necessary sensors and monitoring tools in order to follow the evolution of the plague within the crop, helping the farmer to ensure the efficient and complete elimination of the plague.
Due to the eligibility requirements of Eurostars – Italy, the partner needs to be a SME located in Italy. However, subcontracting of research institutions might be possible to complete some of the project tasks.
The expected tasks of the partner would be:

  • Development of the necessary tools for the evaluation and monitoring the plagues in the crop
  • Integration of these data in the overall DSS, including spatial data.
  • Development of an easy and understandable app for the farmer to follow the evolution of the plague
