A Croatian AI-driven bioinformatics startup is seeking partners for a Eurostars collaboration to advance the automation of omics data analysis. Their mission is to bridge the gap between cutting-edge bioinformatics and user accessibility by leveraging AI to streamline complex workflows in genomics, transcriptomics, and other omics-related fields.

Founded by a multidisciplinary team with expertise in molecular genetics, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence (machine learning), and software engineering, the startup identified a significant challenge in bioinformatics: existing tools often require advanced technical knowledge, manual parameter adjustments, and extensive computing resources. This presents a barrier for many researchers and biotech companies lacking specialized data analysis teams.

To address this, the startup is developing an AI-powered bioinformatics platform that automates data processing, reducing the need for specialized programming and statistical expertise. The platform integrates large language models (LLMs) to provide an intuitive interface, enabling researchers to interact with the software in natural language and receive automated insights.

The company is seeking partners from Eurostars member countries, particularly R&D institutions, biotech companies, and universities working in genomics, precision medicine, drug discovery, or related fields. The goal is to collaborate on co-developing AI-driven bioinformatics tools through joint R&D projects, partner with biotech firms to integrate AI models into existing workflows, and work with research institutions to validate and refine algorithms using real-world datasets.

The startup aims to foster international cooperation, as their AI-driven approach addresses key limitations of existing bioinformatics software. By providing user-friendly, automated tools, they aim to meet the growing demand for enhanced data analysis capabilities, improve research efficiency, and open up new commercial opportunities for all partners involved.
