Le Missions di Horizon Europe: cosa sono

Ispirate al programma Apollo che portò l'uomo sulla luna, le Missioni di Horizon Europe puntano ad affrontare alcune delle più grandi sfide della società europea, dimostrando al grande pubblico l’efficacia dell’azione dell’Unione europea.

Ogni Missione opera come un portafoglio di azioni - come progetti di ricerca, misure politiche o anche iniziative legislative - per raggiungere entro un arco di tempo prestabilito un obiettivo ambizioso ma misurabile, che non potrebbe essere raggiunto attraverso singole azioni.

La Commissione europea ha identificato cinque aree di Missioni (Missions areas):

• Adaptation to climate change, including societal transformation
• Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030
• 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030
• A Soil Deal for Europe
