Final Conference Cost Adapt - Bologna, 16 dicembre 2015

The aim of this Final Conference is to present the Cost Adapt project, funded by the Climate-KIC.

The Cost ADAPT project is grounded on the recognition that a large body of scientific knowledge, models and scenarios exists but need to be tailored and exploited at regional level. It is not a trivial task and usually requires knowledge validation and synthesis typically delivered by consultancy services. The analysis has been performed with the implementation of the general equilibrium models (CGEs), able to capture the multiple associations between production and consumption and uncover how the market responses to the shock induced by climate variability and change.

The project explores the business perspectives of climate adaptation service that aims to satisfy knowledge requirements of regional and local administration and small and medium enterprises.

This service, consisting of periodic assessment of economic impacts of climate change and adopted adaptation measures, will help to better prepare for, and cope with, the impacts of climate change.

The venue will offer an opportunity for debating and exchanging ideas about climate services.
